Farley is the Chair and a member of the Board of Directors of The Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators.  Farley is currently a Principal at Cohen Hamilton Steger & Co. Inc.  He is a former Managing Director and Principal at two major international consultancies and was also a partner at a prominent business valuation firm prior to which he worked in the insolvency group of an international accounting firm.

 

Farley has been retained as an expert, mediator and arbitrator in cases involving share/equity business valuations, economic damages, lost profits, income determination, fraud investigations, and due diligence investigations.  He has appeared as an expert witness at numerous trials and other legal proceedings in Ontario, Alberta, New Brunswick and in the United Kingdom. 

 

Farley has been recognized as one of Canada’s top expert witnesses in the 2006-2009 Lexpert/American Lawyer annual guides.
