Nora V. Murrant, FCA, FCBV

Nora Murrant is the Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. The Institute is the governing body for Ontario’s 33,000 CAs and over 3,500 CA students.
Nora is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Business Valuator and holds a BMath degree from the University of Waterloo. She was a business valuation practitioner from 1977 to 1996, exclusively engaged in business valuation and financial litigation consulting. She was the first woman to receive the CBV designation in 1980, and first woman to be elected a fellow (FCBV) in 1996. Nora currently serves as president of the board of directors of Women's Habitat of Etobicoke, an agency providing shelter and support to women and their children fleeing violence, and as a board member of Youth in Motion, a charitable organization that provides career resources and mentorship for youth. Nora resides in Toronto.
