Membership Requirements
Generally, a person of good reputation may become a Member of the CICBV by meeting the following criteria:
i. Agreeing to uphold the CICBV’s Code of Ethics;
ii. Successful completing of the required six correspondence courses;
iii. Providing evidence of the required business valuation experience;
iv. Filing a completed membership application;
v. Passing the CICBV’s Membership Entrance Exam (MEE); and
vi. Paying the CICBV’s Annual Member Fee.
Persons qualifying as Members of the CICBV are entitled to identify themselves by the designation CBV (Chartered Business Valuators), or EEE (experts en évaluation d'entreprises) and use this designation to identify themselves on correspondences related to their work, including, for example, all valuation reports or valuation opinions.
